Fumetec have recently completed the installation of extract systems in Plymouth. The project involved design, manufacture and installation of Fume Extract Systems serving 8 No Fume Cupboards. The external ductwork was supported on a bigfoot isolation and unistrut support system. Installation complied with quality standards BS EN 14175-2:2003 and the construction code of the HVAC specification DW154. Picture shown is of the stack arrangement.
“Fumetec were directly appointed by the University for the installation of 20 fume cupboards in a new Pharmaceutical Science and Drug Design Laboratory.
The project posed many complexities due to limited space, technical design challenges and working alongside the main contractor, who were appointed separately by the University.
Fumetec closely collaborated with our stakeholders and main contractor to ensure that the design aligned with the specific project requirements.
The installation proceeded smoothly, with Fumetec coordinating effectively with our main contractor to ensure timely delivery. Fuemtec and their on-site engineers went above and beyond to meet the tight deadlines.
We are highly satisfied with the products, design, and installation and would gladly recommend and consider Fumetec for future projects at the University.”
